Rhyl Carnival
On the hottest day of July some of our members put on their sunscreen and joined the Rhyl Carnival parade! The handed out leaflets to the crowd and represented Work in Progress so well. They were such heroes for working so hard in extreme heat.
The following week we were surprised to find out that we'd been given the Carnival's award for Best Adult Group! Wow!
Announcing our Work in Progress pilot project for teenagers (ages 13-19)!
Work in Progress Teens is something we’ve been thinking about for a while, and when we were approached about it we thought... now is the time! This fun, free 14-week project will run from 1st September — 1st December at Bodelwyddan Community Centre, 5:00–6:30pm.

We are over the moon to have received a grant from the North East Wales Community Cohesion Team! These funds will go towards our upcoming Sharing on October 10th. Our sessions are free for our participants, making the arts accessible to all, regardless of personal circumstance. This means we are dependent on grants, donations, and sponsorship.

Visiting Guest Artists: The Universty of Chester
For the second time, Work in Progress and The University of Chester Department of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences are teaming up together on an exciting project!
Jack Eagle, one of our incredibly talented Volunteers, spent some time talking with our members about what they'd want in an original song: ideas, lyrics, themes, vibe, you name it. We don't know how he did it, but he managed to include every single one of their ideas! The result is a very catchy and meaningful song called Find Your Light.
The song will be available for download on the University's channels (Spotify, iTunes, etc) with funds going to Work in Progress Rhyl CIC. Not only that, but we'll be shooting a music video to accompany the song! This will be uploaded to YouTube.
Find Your Light will drop on World Mental Health Day: October 10th, 2026 -- the same day as our Sharing! We will premiere the music video at the start of our Sharing. Our audience will have the treat of watching the video on a large screen -- after that it will be available to the world!
